In-Studio Voice Lessons: Information
|
|
♫ Curriculum
Voice lessons are a music course that takes the student through one whole level of many musical skills including classical vocal technique, vocal styles (classical, music theatre, jazz and popular), performance, repertoire, memorization, performance, sight-reading, rhythm, ear-training, improvisation, music history and music theory.
♫ Performance Opportunities
In addition to learning how to sing, there are several opportunities for students to perform through recitals, master classes, festivals, Certificate of Merit evaluations and competitions. I will also help you prepare for your own auditions, pageants, talent shows and performances. See the Performing Opportunities page for more details.
♫ Materials
Voice students will need to purchase some songbooks and a music theory workbook. Students will also need a USB flash drive or recording device to record lessons. I will provide you with a warm-up CD.
It is my goal to provide a unique style of teaching and a rewarding experience. I focus on each student as an individual and create a fun, productive and comfortable learning environment.

Music is a wonderful pursuit that can be enjoyed by all at any age. The rewards of music go beyond music itself. The study of music not only develops responsibility and discipline, but it also improves self-confidence.
I work with ages 8 up, helping students to improve their musicianship and successfully find the true beauty and power of their natural singing voice!
